Veedersburg - Colleen Gay Evans, 22, of Rt 2, Veedersburg, died at 5:20 p.m. Wednesday due to injuries sustained in a two-car accident at the intersection of County Road 300 S and US 41 in Fountain County. She was born in Terre Haute April 27, 1965 and formerly lived in Brazil and Terre Haute before moving to Veedersburg in 1978. A 1983 graduate of Fountain Central HS she was a senior at Indiana State University where she was majoring in elementary education.
Miss Evans was a member of Junior Student Union Board, Baptist Student Union and University Choir,. She had worked at Hardee's restaurant on the Indiana State campus, and also was employed by the Indiana State High Department in Fountain County during the summer months. She was a member of First Southern Bpaits Church in Attica.
Surviving are her parents, Fred Leroy and Joyce Ann Reagan Evans of Rt 2, Veedersburg; one brother, Randy Evans of Ridgecrest, Calif; and two sisters, Darla Evans, a senior at Fountain Central HS and Elaine Evans an 8th grade student at Fountain Central. - kbz
